‘Lubly Longneck’ one of many trips to Mount Jack on Balnggarrawarra country, my grandad hooked a longneck freshwater turtle and was trying to pull it meters up onto the high bank. This was the biggest freshwater turtle I had ever seen, everyone was watching him pull in the line and I knew I would get a taste once it was cooked. But suddenly the line snapped, the turtle fell back into the water and no one caught it again all afternoon.
